The Driveside Community Gear library supporter

We are introducing a project that we hope will radically change the cycling scene in the GTA.
Cycling is an expensive sport with very few in-roads if you’re working with a small budget.

That’s why we’ve been dreaming up community infrastructure that pools our resources to lower the cost of entry to cycling adventures. You guessed it, we’re starting a cycling gear library based out of Toronto and Hamilton.

Despite our massive cycling community, there is only one other cycling-specific gear library in so-called Canada. We are hoping to fill this gap in infrastructure and provide a lending space where cyclists can find both equipment and community.

📚🪪 HOW DO I USE THE GEAR LIBRARY? 📚🪪
Have you ever borrowed a friend’s gear to go on a biking adventure? Imagine you now have 50 friends willing to loan you sick equipment. That’s the Gear Library.
The Gear Library will have a catalog of items available at Bikechain in Toronto and New Hope Community Bikes in Hamilton! Ranging from panniers to frame bags to tool kits - the library will be ready for what your adventure needs! Our goal is to keep costs as low as possible and only take what is needed for the library to stay open.

The Gear Library is planning to be ready for your fall adventures!
With a soft launch in early fall, you’ll have the gear you need for those crisp fall rides 🍂🚵

All purchases will go directly to fund the purchasing and maintenance of equipment in the gear library.
